Literacy Databases

Rockdale Library is pleased to offer 2 exciting new databases for kids.
Intrepica offers reading and spelling games, puzzles and exercises from pre-readers to Year 6 students and is a great resource for children who are learning to read and/or need to practise spelling.
From the publisher: Intrepica is a high-quality play-based literacy database. Students are motivated and excited to engage in literacy learning that achieves genuine learning outcomes. Intrepica has games and exercises for pre-readers and primary students in K-6 and helps them learn to read or build on their literacy skills.

TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which they can read, or can have read to them.

These two great resources can be accessed from the Library webpage
