Prime Minister's Literary Award Winners

The winner's of the 2009 Prime Minister's Literary Awards were recently announced.

The winners were:

Starting School with Rockdale City Library

We would like to welcome all school starters and their parents or carers to join Rockdale City Library.

The Library has lots to offer to families and our programs and resources can help parents and children throughout their whole school career.

To make starting school easier for you and your child, Rockdale City Library has put together an information sheet of what the library can offer you.

Holiday Opening Hours 2009

Over the Christmas/New Year holidays, the Rockdale Library & Community Information Service will have changed opening hours. All branches will be closed on the public holidays.


Branches at Arncliffe, Bexley, Bexley North, Brighton-Le-Sands and Sans Souci will be closing at 1pm on 24 December until 2nd January 2010. Normal opening hours will resume on 2 January 2010.

The opening hours for the Rockdale Branch are as follows

24th December 2009 - closing at 1pm
25th December 2009 - Closed
26th December 2009 - Closed
28th December 2009 - Closed
29th December 2009 - 9 am - 5 pm
30th December 2009 - 9 am - 5 pm
31st December 2009 - 9 am - 5 pm
1st January 2010 - Closed
2nd January 2010 - Normal hours resume
