Your Neighbours: The Gypsies in Australia
The Romani, colloquially known as Gypsies, originally came across the sea to the Borro Tem (Big Land), Australia with the First Fleet in 1788. The Gypsy still travels on and has become an integral part of Australian life. Examining the history of the Gypsy people since they arrived with the First Fleet, we find stories about real people and real events.
