The Rockdale Community will celebrate the Year of the Tiger on Saturday 20 February 2010 in Rockdale Town Hall from 10am to 1pm.
Chinese New Year is an important festival in the Chinese Lunar calendar.
A traditional Lion Dance will mark the opening of the celebrations at the courtyard of Council’s Administration Building. The Lion Dance will parade along Princes Highway between Town Hall and King Street Place.

- Singing
- Gu Zheng Performance
- Traditional Chinese dance
- Making of Chinese New Year Delicacies
- Chinese Calligraphy
- Lucky door prizes
Rockdale Community 2010 Chinese New Year Celebration is organised by St George & Sutherland Community College, St George Migrant Resource Centre, Australian Chinese Community Association of NSW Inc. and Sydney Chinese Alliance Church
