Rockdale Readers will meet again on the 18th July 2008 at 5.30pm We will be discussing March by Geraldine Brooks.
March is the father of the family in Louisa May Alcott's Little Women.

In June we discussed Carpentaria by Alexis Wright. This was a hard book to get into and only 2 of the group managed to finish it. Nonetheless we had a great discussion about the way it was written where dreamtime stories, myths and current events were woven together and told in the oral tradition. We also discussed the many characters in the book.
