Vote for New Books to be Purchased by Rockdale City Library

Would you like to help us select items for the library book collection?

We have a selection of new books to be released in August from our book supplier for you to vote on. The more votes an item has the more likely it will be purchased. You can only vote for a book once.

To start voting go to the library catalogue -http://library.rockdale.nsw.gov.au/
Click on the "Vote For New Books" tab on the right of the screen or the link at the bottom of the page

Enter your email address, card number and the branch you use the most and start selecting books.
To vote on a book click Vote button that appears under the title of the book

You can vote on as many books as you like.

The books with the most votes will be purchased.

Voting closes on 8 July 2016.

The next selection will be available to vote on shortly.

Public Holiday Closure - Queen's Birthday 13 June 2016

Arncliffe, Bexley, Bexley North, Brighton-le-Sands and Sans Souci will be closed on Monday 13 June 2016 for the Queen's Birthday Holiday.

Our elibrary is available 24 hours a day so you can check out an online magazine or ebook for more information please see http://library.rockdale.nsw.gov.au/elibrary

Usual opening hours will resume on Tuesday 14 June 2015.

Rockdale Library will remain closed while the new library is being built.

Voter Information Session in Mandarin

We ran our first Voter Information Session in Mandarin for the upcoming federal election on Friday 3 June. We had a 13 people attend to find out about elections and how to fill in the ballot papers. We will be running more voter information sessions in Arabic, Cantonese and Mandarin in June.

This week's #FlashbackFriday photo features the Bexley Women's Rest Centre. It opened in 1954 and over three floors housed a meeting room for women's organisations, a tea room and a rest room. This photo from the 1950s is from Rockdale City Library's local history collection.
